Polypropylene rings are the most popular and common type. They work well in a majority of situations. These lighter brushes are typically selected for less severe conditions (no ice, frozen and packed snow, or compacted dirt).

They have the best flick and are used for effectively sweeping asphalt, clay, gravel, light powdery snow, sand, and other road debris. They are not causing undue stress to asphalt on runways or other sensitive surfaces.
